Warm welcome to
new faculty member,
Lisa Levinson
The Linguistics Department extends a warm welcome to Lisa Levinson who joined us as an Assistant Professor of Linguistics in Fall 2007. Professor Levinson received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from New York University. Her publications and research focus on showing how meaning influences morphological and syntactic structure and on providing a formal model-theoretic account for semantics 'below' the word level. Professor Levinson looks at these research questions from the perspective of a variety of different languages. She will teach courses in syntax, semantics, the neural bases of language, and language and mind.
