Warm welcome to
new faculty member,
Kuniko Nielsen

The Linguistics Department extends a warm welcome to Kuniko Nielsen who joined us as an Assistant Professor of Linguistics in Fall 2008. Kuniko Nielsen received her PhD in Linguistics from UCLA. Her research focuses on the nature of phonetic, phonological and lexical representations in long-term memory, and how those representations are accessed and reflected in speech production and perception. She has worked on phonetic imitation, audio-visual speech perception, as well as phonological and speech perception deficits of dyslexic children.
